About the Client

Verma Design is a web design and IT support company based in Surrey. The company was formed in 2009 and a website was required to generate new business and illustrate a portfolio of existing work and projects.

Specification

The creation of our own company website can be considered VermaDesign's first website project.

As Verma Design was a newly formed company, no company branding was in place so the design specification was left fairly open with the only pre-requisite being that design needed to have a professional and well designed look and feel to reflect the high standard of work available. In addition to this, we were required to design a company logo that was to be used not only on the website but on future correspondence.

The website needed a section to explain the various services available as well as a section to display a portfolio of web designs. The portfolio needed to contain images of each website and possibly an image gallery for larger websites. A contact page with an enquiry form was also required.

The entire website needed to be designed and created with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) in mind as this would be the primary method of generating new business. Upon completion, a strong SEO campaign was required to boost the website's position in the internet search engines.

Lastly, a development area needed to be created that would allow clients to view their website design as it was being created whilst maintaining security via password protected areas.

A Flash template was used to create the header and menu bar and altered to suit the client's requirements.
